Ann Snell is an award-winning multidisciplinary artist. Her art celebrates diversity and sheds light on stories untold. The female gaze is central to Snell’s practice, challenging societal constructs that have repressed minorities and whitewashed our history’s truth. Seeding the series ‘Herstory’ 2016 - present.

Snell's involvement in Indigenous communities representing 240 Indigenous artists in her Surry Hills Gallery, Ann Snell Gallery 2003–2016, and her role as a mother of Indigenous children influences her work. Themes inspired by First Nations peoples living philosophies invite viewers to explore the connections between humanity and the natural world.
